Mallorie Hall
CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE, MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Mallorie's passion for supporting women began with the first birth she witnessed in nursing school. Her obstetric clinical instructor at Baylor University's School of Nursing was the first midwife she ever met and greatly inspired her to take an active role with her laboring patients. Mallorie's personal experience with her own labor, which led to an emergency cesarean birth just a year earlier, further fueled her dedication. In school, she was exposed to midwives and doulas in the community and learned that when women had a voice and felt supported, they achieved better outcomes and were more successful at achieving vaginal births. This revelation made Mallorie realize that she, too, wanted to become a midwife.
After graduating from nursing school, Mallorie landed her dream job as a labor and delivery nurse at Baylor University Medical Center, where she was part of the maternal transport team. Outside the hospital, she worked as a doula, an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a childbirth educator. As a bedside nurse, Mallorie found fulfillment in making a positive impact on underserved women in her community, but she always aspired to do more. She recognized a need for laboring women to receive a higher level of care that addressed the mind-body-spirit connection. Through her experiences, she saw how providing trauma-informed care positively impacted her patients' labors and birth experiences, fueling her desire to become a Nurse-Midwife.
In 2022, Mallorie earned her Master of Science in nurse-midwifery from Texas Tech University, where she received the MSN Excellence in Nursing Award. She focused on trauma-informed care for her master's professional project and has used this approach in her practice since entering private practice in 2022.
Mallorie's calling is to care for new moms and their families. She is committed to learning as much as possible about birth and women's health and sharing this knowledge with her clients, empowering them to design their birth experiences. She ensures that women know their options and feel heard and respected.
Mallorie lives in Ennis with her wonderfully supportive husband, Jeramy, their 14-year-old daughter, Jaycie, and their two tenacious boxers, Violet and Blue. She loves reading, traveling, spending time with friends, and all things related to birth or Disney!
