Katie Hopkins

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE, DOCTOR OF NURSING PRACTICE

For nearly 20 years, Katie has been serving the women and families of DFW. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Texas Christian University, Katie started her career as a labor and delivery nurse at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. It was there that she was first introduced to the art of midwifery. She witnessed the hands-on, compassionate, evidence-based care that midwives provide and saw the impact that midwives have on women and families. She quickly knew that she was being called to midwifery. In 2008, she enrolled in the Baylor University midwifery program and graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in 2011.

Upon completion of midwifery school, Katie accepted a position at Parkland Hospital where she gained valuable experience in labor and birth, attending over 300 births in her first year. She felt called to provide full-scope midwifery care and had the opportunity to join a well-respected, established practice in 2012, where she served women and families for 12 years prior to joining Midwife+Co.

Katie finds great joy in the relationships that she has established with her patients over the years. She has dedicated her career to supporting women throughout their lives, from family planning, infertility, and pregnancy, to menopause. Katie is committed to providing empathetic and supportive care to her clients. Providing women with information and encouragement, Katie strongly believes in shared decision-making to empower women in their care.

Katie and her husband Cory married in 2023 and live in Fort Worth with their four children, Emory, Liam, Hayden, and Caleb. They are a busy crew who love to play sports, travel, and spend time outdoors.
