Kathleen Donaldson

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE, MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Texas Christian University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and completed the Women’s Health Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner (NP) program at U.T. Southwestern in 1987. For the next decade, I worked at John Peter Smith Hospital under the Tarrant County Hospital District, serving as an OB/GYN NP and Director of Women’s Ambulatory Services.

In 1999, I graduated from the Parkland School of Nurse Midwifery in Dallas, Texas, and earned my Master's Degree. I then practiced Nurse-Midwifery and served as associate faculty at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital. In 2004, I joined North Texas Affiliated Medical Group, which became a faculty practice with the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2005. In 2017, we formed a large multidisciplinary provider group, Acclaim Physician Group. In May 2021, our midwife group joined the Texas Health Resources Physician Group as their first nurse midwife group. We are now part of Midwife + Co, and I serve as the midwifery service line director in the Fort Worth location. I have been a midwife in the THR hospital system since 2005.

I am proud and blessed to be part of this extraordinary group of women. We are dedicated to serving the needs and desires of our patients at every stage of life. As a mother of adult children, I understand the different seasons of life and bring my education and experience to help guide my patients to optimal health.
