Janae Thomas

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE, MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

As a labor and delivery nurse, Janae Thomas fell in love with the physiology behind childbirth and the opportunity to advocate for and educate families during such a monumental experience. Feeling called to midwifery, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2019.

Janae has worked in a variety of settings as a midwife, including an out-of-hospital birth center and a fast-paced, high-risk hospital practice. These environments provided her with the insight to respect labor and birth in its natural state while equipping her with the skills to intervene when necessary. She is particularly passionate about providing education before and during labor to ensure patients feel empowered to make the best decisions for themselves.

She is thrilled to become a member of Midwife+Co, where she can work alongside some of the best midwives DFW has to offer!

In her free time, she can typically be found playing “Superheroes” or dinosaurs with her toddler son or watching movie marathons with her husband.
