Alayna Thornton

CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE, MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

Alayna’s passion for midwifery grew from her early work in labor and delivery, where she began her nursing career in 2020. Through caring for laboring families at the bedside, she discovered how powerful education, encouragement, and shared decision-making can be during one of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments. She was drawn to midwifery as a way to provide care that empowers clients with knowledge, confidence, and a true voice in their health care decisions.

Alayna earned her Master’s degree in Midwifery in April 2024 and began her first role as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in St. Petersburg, Florida later that year. In December, she and her family relocated to Texas, where she is excited to continue supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Alayna is passionate about building meaningful relationships and ensuring her patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.

Outside of work, Alayna enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and their golden retriever, and traveling back home to Mississippi whenever she gets the chance. She is also eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first baby!
