Whitney Bryner
CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE, MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
Whitney has been providing care for women in our community since 2014. She earned a Master of Science in nursing degree in 2017 from Texas Tech University when she completed her midwifery training. Prior to becoming a midwife, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse and also practiced with a reputable group of infertility specialists. At the time of her undergraduate OB clinical rotation while attending the University of Texas in Arlington in 2013, she fell in love with midwifery and decided to become a midwife She had the opportunity to observe midwives in their role and enjoyed watching how they interacted with and gave care to women and their families. She really loved how they normalized pregnancy and birth.
For the past three years, Whitney has been practicing in the role of an OB Hospitalist Midwife at a high-volume facility in Fort Worth where she provided both low and high-risk obstetrical care. She also recently joined our sister team at Fort Worth Midwife Associates and has been attending births at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth since January of 2021. She feels her experience in working as OB hospitalist midwife gives her an extremely strong clinical foundation that is needed to provide great care to women in private practice.
As Whitney moves into private practice as the “lead” midwife in the Mansfield office, she is most looking forward to building strong relationships with the women and families she will serve. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based patient and family centered care with a focus on prenatal health education and prevention of primary cesarean birth. “My goal is to provide the most up to date information and options to the women I care for, so they are able to make the best decisions for themselves and their baby. I am here to provide compassionate midwifery care, health education, and keep them safe from harm, but there is a way to do all of this while helping create a memorable and empowering experience.”
Whitney is married with three wonderful kids and a variety of fur babies. She and her family enjoy spending time together doing many different fun things but love to vacation in Colorado or go to the beach.
